Prepare the strawberries by rinsing them, cutting off their stems, then chopping them into pieces.
Add the chopped strawberries, water, and granulated sugar to a blender.
Blend until smooth.
Remove 2 tablespoon of the homemade strawberry puree from the blender and put aside.
Add ice cream, whole milk or cream, and ice cubes (optional) to the remaining strawberry puree in the blender.
Blend until smooth and creamy.
In a tall glass, put the 2 tablespoon of strawberry puree that you set aside earlier.
Pour the mixed strawberry frappuccino into the glass.
Top with whipped cream, if desired.
